Russia

Tipping is becoming more common in Russia, especially in major cities. 10% at restaurants is appreciated. Rounding up for taxis is customary.
Cards vs. Cash
Cards are widely accepted in Moscow, St. Petersburg, and larger cities. Contactless payments work at most retailers and restaurants. Carry cash for smaller towns, markets, and marshrutkas (minibuses). Some international cards may not work due to sanctions.
